My name is Drew Blackman, and welcome to the required about me section of the site.
So let me explain, i am (my artwork follows suit) a chimera of pop culture, refreshing bleakness, chaotic imagination, and grim cuteness, (yes I know, I’m humble). My goal, first and foremost, is to create.
What I’d like to create depends on who’s asking or covering the bill, but primarily I want to create worlds with dark and cute characters and create a series of toys and games based on these worlds. When not attending cons or working, I experiment with personal paintings, dabble into other art forms, and spend most of my time with my Bloodhound (Bisuke) and the crows getting lost in my thoughts, daydreaming of more and the end.
Skateboarding has been a lifesaver to me in my youth and stays with me to this day and can be seen in my artwork alongside Asian symbology, worldwide mythology, and creatures of all types.
